On request of Boliden Tara Mines we built this extra long version of a Toyota Land Cruiser 79 single cab with crane conversion for the mining industry. Perfect for the transport of long rock bolts.

Dreams are coming true :-) What are the specs on this hilux's? range, motor KW, KWH packs? and more importantly, can this be bought by individuals and be road legal? at what prices?
The specs of the Hilux are identical to the Electric Cruiser, See more information on our website www.tembo4x4-elv.com/Technical-Specs . We are working on a road legal version as we speak but it will probably will take another year to achieve this. Prices are yet unknown and will depend on diffrent set ups and in which country you want to buy.

curious why it has a snorkel
The snorkel was there because it already was mounted on the vehicle before we started with the conversion. But the latest electrified vehicles do not have the snorkel anymore.
Can these be bought and delivered to USA?
Of course, but we prefer to have a distributor who can give support on site. At the moment we do not have a distributor in the USA.

Haha, you are right! It really is evil! It is a TD5 with a special made exhaust, intercooler, K&N filter and FD 4x4 Tuning to get 200HP!
had doubts before but i think electric off-roading may be superior to ICE engines. there is no risk of oil leaks, overheating, broken alternator, leaking fuel tank etc
The ICE is dead. Should have been obsoleted years ago but you know how it goes with corporates.
@@jz2981 the ICE is not dead, you forget that ICE can bring extra fuel to go everywhere they want, thats not possible with EVs sorry
The transport of diesel or gasoline is way more difficult than the transport of electric power, especially in remote locations.
@@tembo4x4 tell it to those overlanders who have large extra diesel tanks for better range to travel to remote areas
